Chilean football, told the way it should be
A Chilean football news outlet with front-page hierarchy, sections by competition and a standings table that keeps itself up to date.
The challenge
The project needed to stop looking like a blog and start looking like a news outlet. That means readers grasp the day’s biggest story at a glance, and publishing daily never requires redesigning anything.
Five fronts
We treated hierarchy the way a front page is built: big headlines, one story that leads and the rest arranged around it. We split content into the domestic league, Copa Chile, the national team, transfers and international football, so each reader enters where they care to.
- 01
Primera División
The domestic league, week by week.
- 02
Copa Chile
Ties, brackets and knockouts.
- 03
La Roja
National team, squads and qualifiers.
- 04
Transfers
Movements in the market.
- 05
International
What happens outside Chile.
Content that never goes stale
The standings table stays current without anyone touching it. That is what keeps the site alive even on days with no new posts.
The structure keeps a newsroom pace without redesigns.
The table keeps itself current.
Returning readers leave their email.
Every story travels well when shared.
The site works like a real outlet: the standings table stays current without anyone touching it, so there is living content even between posts. And the structure is built so the archive can grow without falling into disorder.
